Join us for a special screening of "The President and the Dragon," a compelling documentary chronicling the near-eradication of guinea worm disease—one of global health's most remarkable success stories. Following the film, we'll host a panel discussion exploring the lessons learned from this historic public health campaign and their implications for addressing today's neglected tropical diseases - featuring Adam Weiss, the Director of the Carter Center's Guinea Worm program, Prof. Dan Fletcher, Faculty Director of the Blum Center for Developing Economies, and Assistant Prof. Tierra Smiley-Evans, Integrative Biology and Public Health.
A reception will follow, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow global health practitioners, researchers, and advocates committed to advancing health equity worldwide.
