Changes in child mortality and population health following 10 years of integrated health systems and science in rural Madagascar
The UC Berkeley Center for Global Public Health (CGPH), the Center for Global Health Delivery, Diplomacy and Economics (CGHDDE) and the Center for Emerging and Neglected Diseases (CEND) are excited to invite you to a lecture by Dr. Matthew Bonds, Associate Professor of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Co-founder of Pivot, and HFF Global Health Impact Investigator.
Dr. Bonds will discuss results and data from the first decade of a partnership between the Government of Madagascar and the NGO, Pivot, to establish a model health district. By strengthening care from community health to hospitals and using innovative data systems, the initiative demonstrates how health system improvements translate into population health gains.
Location: Rm. 5101, 2121 Berkeley Way West
Time/Date: 1:30 - 2:30 PM on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026.
