Bio
Hannah is a PhD candidate in the Molecular and Cell Biology Program at UC Berkeley. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from St. Olaf College in 2019. As an undergraduate in the Listenberger lab, Hannah studied the biochemical processes that underlie lipid trafficking and storage in eukaryotes. Currently, she is a member of the Cox lab where she is studying the role that host DNA damage plays during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection as well as the mechanism that underlies colony morphotype switching in Mycobacterium avium.
Besides research, she enjoys taking advantage of the Bay Area weather
to hike, run, and enjoy the outdoors in whatever capacity she can.
